Broken Bread – No Greater Love

Only those who have been broken can reveal Christ.

Quiet your soul, be still before the Lord

Surrender completely to His will

Only then will you see thru His eyes

For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
“I live in a high and holy place,
but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” -Isa 57:15

Only those who are broken can pass on ‘the bread of life’ to others.

Matthew 15:34-38
“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.
“Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was four thousand, besides women and children.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the bread of life that was broken to give us Your Holy Spirit. Help each of us be broken before You. Thank You that as each heart surrenders to Your will, the bread of life, the fruits of the Spirit will be passed on and multiplied. Please allow the miracle of the fruits of Holy Spirit to be revealed and multiplied.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

2 Corinthians 4:7, 17-18
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

A body offered for all

The blood of the perfect Lamb

Broken bread, poured out wine

The Lamb, the Son of God

No greater love than this

A life lain down

Broken bread, poured out wine

A living sacrifice

The pearl of greatest price

A life lain down for friends

No greater love than this.

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
