Trials Help to See God’s Purpose

From Acosta Ministries

Rhema Word for the Day, Monday, July 21, 2014: Today, pause for a moment to reflect on this-be assured that as you grow spiritually, you will come to understand your trials, for they will bring you to see God’s purpose for your life more clearly.

1 Peter 5:10–And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

James 1:2-4 AMP
2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

Trials help you see God’s purpose!

2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV … For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV … We live by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT … That is why we live by believing and not by seeing.

2 Corinthians 5:7 NMSG … It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going.

Rhema Word for the Day, Wednesday, March 30, 2016: If your own plans to manufacture your positive outcomes continuously seem to be failing, look no further than God. Rest in the assurance that His hand has always been on you. All is not lost. Your life is not wasted. Rather than look at your circumstances, look to Him! Your solution and victory are only a prayer away. Yield yourself to Him, knowing that His plan is not to hurt you but to prepare you for His service!

Proverbs 19:21Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

@lafayettescales: When something doesn’t work out your way, it doesn’t mean God has failed you. It means He’s planning something better.
@lafayettescales: Know this: Your plans may not work out, but God is still on the throne, and if He is for you, who dare be against you?

Rhema Word for the Day, Monday, July 14, 2014: Though your ship may be tossed by waves, stormy waters will not stop the progress of your vessel!

Psalm 84:5How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion!

Psalm 107:29-32 AMP
29 He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still.
30 Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven.
31 Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!
32 Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the company of the elders.

Sometimes the Lord rides out the storm with us and other times He calms the restless sea around us. Most of all, He calms the storm inside us in our deepest inner soul. –Lloyd John Ogilvie, minister
